Dubai will place the film and gaming industries at the centre of the Arab Media Summit 2026, held 15–17 September at Dubai World Trade Centre, through two dedicated forums organised by the Dubai Films and Games Commission.
According to the Dubai Media Office, the summit is expected to draw around 10,000 media professionals, making it the largest media gathering in the Arab region.
The stated goal is to move film and gaming from content consumption to production: attracting studios that launch games, shoot film and build digital content out of Dubai, supported by connectivity, production infrastructure and market access across the region.
Both sectors are policy priorities for the emirate, which has been building permitting, incentive and talent pathways around media production under the Dubai Media Council.
For companies in the sector, the forums are where commissioning intent, incentives and co-production interest are made public — useful timing for studios weighing where to base regional operations in 2027.
