Abu Dhabi Global Market (ADGM), the emirate's international financial centre, said the workforce across its jurisdiction has reached 49,027 people — approaching 50,000 for the first time and up 34% year on year.
In the same update ADGM reported 54% growth in assets under management, 13,974 active licences, and 190 fund and asset managers now operating from the centre, managing 276 funds.
Gulf News reported that capital with an AI focus managed from ADGM has passed $100 billion, reflecting how much of the recent inflow is tied to technology strategies rather than traditional regional mandates.
The growth follows the pattern set earlier in the year, when the Abu Dhabi Media Office recorded more than 13,353 active licences by the end of the first quarter of 2026.
For companies already in the UAE, the practical effect is a deeper local market for fund administration, legal, audit and compliance services on Al Maryah Island, and rising competition for licensed finance staff between ADGM and Dubai's DIFC.
